What is SHIELD-19?

The current scientific consensus is that COVID-19 primarily spreads through the tiny droplets expelled when a contagious person coughs, sneezes, or even just talks. That’s why authorities recommend masking while around others and in public places.

However, it’s not enough to cover just the mouth and nose. The droplets can also enter your body through your eye’s mucus membranes. That’s why many people are relying on complete face coverings, like SHIELD-19. Florida medical professionals and others who require thorough protection use this face shield to cover their mouth, nose, eyes, and entire face to help reduce their risk of catching and spreading COVID-19.

How It’s Made

SHIELD-19 is made out of durable water repellent nylon fabric and PET monofilm. A large screen ensures your vision is clear, and an adjustable strap in the back keeps the shield in place. It can be adjusted to fit heads of all sizes.

Since SHEILD-19 is open in the back, your head stays cooler than when wearing hood-style PPE. It’s a good solution for those who work outdoors or in warm environments, such as first responders and factory workers. While there is no way to 100% guarantee you won’t be infected by something as contagious as COVID-19, you will be far more protected with a face shield than without.
