How to Use a Protective Hood for Rescuer Safety

With the entire world facing a major pandemic unlike anything it has seen in modern history, it has become more important than ever to make sure that those working hard to help the lives of others aren’t needlessly putting their own lives in jeopardy. One of the best ways to shield yourself from airborne viruses is to use personal protective equipment.

One of the best PPE options for rescuer safety is a protective hood, such as the HOOD-19. When properly worn over the face, these hoods keep out particles that can cause illness so that first responders and other emergency personnel can perform their duties without hesitation.

These hoods should be worn at all times while on duty for them to be effective, since removing them can put the wearer in jeopardy. Furthermore, these hoods allow for an unobstructed view while delivering a clear line of vision. This ensures that anyone wearing it is not impeded in any way while remaining defended against the novel coronavirus COVID-19 or any other airborne illness that could present a danger to those working in hospitals, fire departments, police stations, and other similar locations.
